Accessible storage is key for CellAED®. Ideal locations include near the front door, in central areas like the kitchen, or alongside other emergency equipment. When leaving home, especially to remote areas, take your CellAED® with you for emergencies.
Storage Conditions
Store your CellAED® in its protective case, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. The recommended storage temperature is between 15 and 35 degrees Celsius (59-95°F) to preserve its lifespan.
Routine Checks and Maintenance
Your CellAED® requires minimal maintenance, but a monthly inspection is advised. Check for a intact tamper-evident seal and any signs of damage, using the provided checklist for guidance.
Operational Readiness
To ensure your CellAED® is ready for use:
- Check the expiry date on the back of the protective case. Replace your CellAED® immediately if it's expired.
- Observe the LED status:
- Green flash every 30 seconds indicates full operational readiness.
- Amber flash signifies a low battery, but the device can still be used in emergencies.
- No LED flash means the battery is expired, and the CellAED® needs immediate replacement.
During Use
When in use, if a shock is advised, the LED will turn red and remain so during charging and delivering a shock. This is a reminder not to touch the patient during this process.
